CLASS AND COURSE DESCRIPTION
Each class is designed for students who are at a middle to high level (B1-C2) of English language proficiency and are using it frequently, either for work, or are living in an English speaking country.
The ACCENT REDUCTION courses and classes can be intense, as they do not require the student to just say each letter’s sound and syllable(s), but to actively use hand gestures and various visual techniques to see and get the clearest pronunciation possible for each letter/word shown.
The breakdown is quite simple. The course has three sections. First we will cover the sounds our each letter and their IPA (International Pronunciation Alphabet) symbol. Second, we will work with various words, or sentences and break down each word until it is said correctly. Finally, once a word has been broken down, we will then repeat the word until it is said as perfectly as can be.

This single class is there for people who are either looking to explore the core lessons, for those who need a quick brush up on certain pronunciation sounds of letters and words, or for those who may need to extend their current class by one or two lessons.
3 Lessons - $250.00 CAN
The 3 Lesson class is similar to the single lesson offered, but is there for those who feel their pronunciation skills may be more advanced and need a refresher course on how to say letters correctly.
5 Lessons - $395.00 CAN
The 5 Lesson class is there for people who need to get the most out of each lesson and want to dive into their English Pronunciation accent to make a difference in their lives.
10 Lessons - $850.00 CAN
The 10 Lesson class is for a students looking to complete all of the English letter pronunciation sounds and work on words that they may be having difficulty with. Depending on their level and speed, full sentences may be covered.

- The 10 classes cover a 3 Pillar Approach. The first Pillar is the foundation of the letter sounds, the second Pillar focuses on practical reading from sources related to your profession and the sounds of words in a sentence, and finally, the third Pillar focuses on practical phrases and sentences used in your English meetings and presentations.

Yes, accents are not fixed and can be changed over time with practice.
This really depends on the person and how strong their native accent is. There will be some letters, or words that will take a little more time than others to master. Therefore, there is really no specific timeline for when your accent will be fully reduced. Practice and dedication will ultimately be the determining factor.
Yes, absolutely! However, it really depends on the person and the strength of their native language and how it affects certain English letters and words.
I would truly love to say yes to this question, but I can’t. I will give you the tools and the material to make the changes that you need, but practice outside of the class is just as important. I can say though, that you will definitely hear a difference your pronunciation and accent, even if it is just a slight difference.
Well, I’m Canadian, so technically, I will be teaching you the American Pronunciation style, as the Canadian accent represents more of an American accent than a British one. If we come across words written in the American style, I will also show you how they are written in the Canadian/British style and how they are pronounced. ie. Color (American) vs. Colour (British/Canadian) – These two words are said the same.
This course and the other courses that I teach at C.E.O.L.A. are not meant for those who are just learning English, but for those who have acquired enough English proficiency to communicate with an English speaking person at an intermediate level. For example: A person would be at a CERF B1-C2 level, an IELTS level of 4.0 – 9.0, or a Canadian Language Benchmark Test Score of 5 – 12.
NO. Everyone learns differently and at different speeds. I am confident with my skills and classes that you will notice a difference, even if it takes a little longer than other people.
Yes I can, but I would limit the number of students to 3. However, to get the most out of each lesson, I have always felt that 1-on-1 lessons have the greatest impact. If you and some colleges would like to have a group lesson, please contact me for more details and prices.
C.E.O.L.A. will need 24 hours notice in order to receive a full refund on any appointment made. There will only be a 25% money back return on the interrupted scheduled class if there are any changes made during the 24 hours period prior to the lesson.
If the lesson time or date is changed before the 24 hour period prior to the class, a full refund will be given.
